When users quote my as part of a response where they have quoted other people too; no notification pops up and I have missed responding to many conversations/ been accused of popping in and leaving without a response. Quote notifications seem to work only when a user responds exclusively to my post.

I just figured that Tapatalk does notify even if the response is part of a multi-quote post. But, it would just be more elegant and streamlined if the web version would do it too.

vBulletin /profile.php?do=quotenotifications quote notification failures

Testing, testing, …

… three …

Many people who frequent Macrumors use a variety of technology that may include a combination of apple, microsoft, android etc. I think its good to keep an open mind and read/discuss what others are doing. …

… two, one. Yes, I see (at least) a failure to notify at https://forums.macrumors.com/profile.php?do=quotenotifications when I'm not the first person quoted. Screenshot attached.

I half-expect this post to generate a notification.

Yeah, I am on my iPad now with the desktop version of MR open. I have three notifications, but none of them from this thread. But it did show up in Tapatalk earlier. I know the two don't synchronize.

… three.

Two observations:
1. Tapatalk notified me and this time when I clicked on the notification (iOS); it actually took me to the quoted article. Earlier, it would just end up stating that the article couldn't be found - WIN!

2. The website notification worked too - WIN!

Thank you
