A Fond Farewell and Tribute to Former Low End Mac Writer Charles W. Moore
This guy had a lot to do with my switch to the Mac. I think I've read every column he wrote for Low End Mac, plus some of his other stuff. His ardent support of the Mac platform, and his direct, eloquent way of explaining things just won me over.
He was a big fan of the PowerBook G3 Pismo; another thing he sold me on. One of my earliest purchases of Mac hardware was a second hand Pismo, which I used daily for a couple of years. I've been missing his writing about Macs for a while now, and seeing just today that he'd passed makes me miss that Pismo too.
R.I.P., fellow Mac lover.
