Yea its dead and i have ben using a lacie fire wire ever since but i want to fix it. is there a cheaper way to do this or is it beter to just buy a new laptop.

to be honest i think i am over do for a new macbook pro.

but times are tuff rite now 🙁

If you don't replace it, that's money you can use towards a new MBP... Try to deal with the external drive for now.
