Well, it was great while it lasted. As of OS X 10.5.6, our favourite homework manager for the mac has become broken and unusable. Even forcing rosetta emulation won't work any more (a workaround which was necessary when Schoolhouse broke in 10.5.2). There hasn't been any activity on the developer's blog now for almost a year http://www.loganscollins.com/

So, what do you guys use now? I'm looking for an equivalent program that can track assignments and their due dates, and allows you to enter in your marks, letting you track your grades. Does such a program exist ? I've looked at iProcrastinate and Assignment Planner, but they're not quite up to the same standard as schoolhouse.

I'm using it with 10.5.6, what problems are you having?

Whenever you try to select a course, it's always the top-most course that gets selected. It seems like other people having issues too:

I'm having the same problems. I really need to downgrade, or an update needs to be released! I would pay for a license, but I really really need schoolhouse! I sent him an email, but haven't heard back yet. I'm really looking forward to Schoolhouse 3

    I've also posted this elsewhere:

@ Those who've managed to contact him

Would you mind asking him to open-source it?

I wouldn't mind it if a couple of other developers picked up where he left off, since it looks as though he's not maintaining it any longer.

I've tried emailing him and asking him to open source it, but got no response.

A real pity, since with use of Leopard features like Core Animation and iCal integration, Schoolhouse 3 could have been awesome.

iProcrastinate just isn't the same (I hate the UI, personally).

using the new school-house but i'm having a few issues. every time i add a new assignment or adjust anything in it (add grade, change date, etc) it goes to my first course. not sure if its a issue with the program or i'm doing something wrong.

Also i have added homework assignments 1-13 and it lists it as 13-10 then 1-9. :|

    anyone have issues with this?

Oh god, I had completely given up hope for an update.

Hoorey!!!! Just in time for the start of my last year at uni, too. Cant wait for version 3.0. I was hoping my donation to logan wouldn't be wasted.

Is it just me, or has the 'backup database' option disappeared from the menu?
