    Hi!

I'm really interested in the budget 27" iMac! I mostly internetizing, editing photos, record some music and stuff like that.. But I want to play some games too maybe.. I have a xbox 360, so most of my gaming will be done there on my 42". But I like simracing! And this is where gaming on the PC/Mac comes in...
Does anyone here drive rFactor, GTR, GTR Evo or iRacing on a 27" iMac?

I'm thinking of the low-end 27" with i3, 4GB Ram and the ATI 5670.. Might bump the graphics to the 5750... What do you think? I googled, but hard to find any data about this... So any experience would be awsome! :)

I've got a 2009 27" with the 4850 and i5 and play Race 07/On/GTR Evo and can run at native res with 1 level of AA turned on and get over 60fps at the start. Thats with max gfx setting in game except shadows which are dropped down to medium and showing 16 cars. I tend to drive from the hood cam.

I can play GTR 2, maxed out, 30 visible cars, 1366x768 on a HP laptop with Core 2 Duo and 4530 graphics card.

So, in both 2010 iMacs, GTR 2 or GTR Evo will fly.

I play rFactor daily on my 27" i7 iMac. All settings maxed (no anti aliasing as it's not needed at this insane resolution) and running at 2560 x 1440. I average about 120FPS. Sometimes at the start of a race on a server with a lot of cars it will dip to 70FPS but I've never seen lower. On straightaways it goes up to 225FPS and beyond. This is on a first gen i7, so I imagine the new ones are even faster.

Great! Thanks! And since the graphics card makes bigger difference than the i7 vs i3 in games I should be okay! :D And even more so if I get the graphics upgrade!

Thanks alot! :) Hope GTR 3 and rFactor 2 will work great too =) And should be awsome driving on the 27"! :D
