Since updating to the latest software on my Apple TV (3rd Gen – A1469) I am having a problem with bandwidth hogging using this device. I use the Radio function (not the iTunes Radio). In the past I was able to stop the radio stream by simply selecting the Sleep function within Settings. Selecting the Sleep function now does stop the audio out and turns off the white light, but does not stop the bandwidth usage. This continues unchanged at about 20 KB/s. Waking up from Sleep mode allows immediate reconnection to this active feed.

The only way I can stop the data flow is to pull out the power plug or start a Youtube session, then go to Sleep mode.

I do see that others have been having bandwidth hogging issues with these Apple TV devices but as yet I have seen no explanation or solution. This is a major problem when your broadband arrives over expensive satellite links with very limited caps.

Can anyone shed light on this very basic problem that seems to defy a solution?
