D DavidDoyle macrumors member Dec 11, 2013 81 131 Nov 16, 2016 #2 You can normally encrypt a hardware based RAID easily enough... I've done it on my Promise Pegasus R6. Just right-mouse click on the drive and select 'Encrypt'. For some RAID though you may need to do it from the Terminal.
