I've searched the forums and google trying to find a solution without posting but maybe someone can help.

Here's the situation. uMBP dual 500gb HD's (Optibay) in soft RAID0. Clean install but I guess the boot files were copied to the 2nd hard drive. When rebooting I have to hold option and select the 2nd hard drive for it to boot, if I let it go it will get to the gray screen and reboot endlessly. When I boot it from the 2nd hard drive it runs perfectly, fast and without problem. My question is how do I get it to boot from the second hard drive without me manually telling it to do so? Will a physical swap of the drives do it?

"Startup Disk" under System preferences sees the array as one drive.

That appears to have solved the problem, don't know why I didn't think of that but thanks.
