I have been waiting patiently for this title since launch. I pre-ordered at Gamestop back in November... Can't wait to dive in to this one.
 
7 months after the 360 version. Let's hope Ubisoft did a better job at porting this one than SplinterCell : Double Agent.

I'm thinking if this is not as good either, I may end up forgetting Assasins Creed on the PS3 altogether.
 
I didn't really like Rainbow Six on the 360. It's too action-oriented now. I want my old tactical Rainbow Six back! 🙁 What's up with the 3-man team?! Online was terrible because people on Xbox Live are always ******s.

And on a sidenote, what's up with FPS's and regenerating health? 😡
 
This is the only game I play on XBL right now...I love it for the 360 but since I already played it out....I'm going to pass this up for the PS3 but I'm glad to hear its getting good reviews.

I just got R6 today for the PS3 and I can attest that it is awesome, definitely comparable to the 360 version (which I also own), and I would go so far as to say the graphics are crisper on the PS3.

A word of advice though, if you have your resolution set to 1080i change it to 720p as R6 was fuzzy on 1080i but perfect on 720p.
 
Just picked this up as well. So far I'm impressed. I've been out of the non-sports game loop for a while. The controls were a little difficult at first. Just need some time to get used to. The last time I really played a FPS was when the first Rainbow 6 game came out for the PC. It's been awhile. 😱

Anyone know how the non-online multiplayer is? 😕

Actually as far as I can tell from looking at the instruction manuals for both there are actually two exclusive modes on the PS3. They are:

Assassination: One team must find and eliminate a high-value asset while the other team tries to escort him to the extraction zone.

Total Conquest: Team based capture-and-hold game mode where each map contains 3 Mobile Radar Installations. To win, a team must capture and maintain control of each Mobile Radar Installation to accumulate a predetermined number of control points.

And to asxtb I did indeed misread your post. I haven't played off-line multi-player yet.

those 2 modes are avalabel as downloads from the red edition pack and its free (Now)
