For the last couple months I've noticed how slow raise to wake is on my S5 with AOD on. It will either take a second or two to wake or i'll notice the screen takes a full second or so to raise the brightness when raising my wrist. This was never an issue for the last year and a half owning this device till recently.

Starting with the basics, did you try a hard reboot yet?

Yes, i've done all that. As I indicated this popped up in recent months. There are lots of threads out there about this I just notice it's gotten worse. Yet the screen wakes instantly with AOD turned off. Makes me think theres bugs in the brightness controller or something.

A hard reboot makes it better for maybe 5 min before the lag starts up again. Its not intolerable...it just takes a tad longer than it used to. Just enough to be annoying.
