Does anyone really love this feature? I tried it for a couple days but ultimately turned it off. My phone was always waking whenever I loved it around and it just kind of annoyed me. I'm sure some must like it though.

It's one of my favorite parts of iOS 10. It actually makes the lock screen notifications useful now because the super fast touch ID doesn't immediately take you past the lock screen when clicking the home button.

Those of us with an Apple Watch get most notifications there and have no use for them on a lock screen. I don't like the raise to wake either, so I turned it off.

Just quick tip.

If you go to settings>general>accessibility>home button and then turn on "Rest Finger To Open" I think it makes raise to wake much better. Now you can raise to see notifications, or raise with your finger resting on the button, it will instantly unlock and let you in. Basically before your phone is in proper view to use it, you will be staring at the home screen. It almost feels like you never unlocked it from your previous use. Almost like it's "raise to unlock" instead.

It's cool. But does the phone know when it's in a purse and gets jostled? I don't want the feature running down my battery. My battery does seem to drain faster since ios10 but I may just be using it more since iOS 10 seems to grab my attention more with those widgety things.

My fiancee 5SE wakes in her bag so she simply turned it off.

There alot in IOS10 I do not like.

I have had an apple watch since day one, that doesn't change my opinion of it being a useful feature. A lot of times I will see a text I want to respond to on the watch but need to type a longer message. 3D touch on the lock screen reply is still quicker than actually unlocking and going to messages.

I'm not saying everyone has to like the feature, but having an apple watch doesn't make it useless to have lock screen notifications.

And I'm not saying it's useless for everyone. It IS useless to me, and it's just fine to have either opinion.

Agree. But they still complain in this forum....on everything!

I'm not complaining at all. I was just curious what others think about the feature.

Then tell Steely to turn it back on. :D

LMAO I have no clue where that came from.

Interesting tip. I may have to try it. I initially turned off raise to wake because it was annoying.

Sorry! I wasn't referring to you. I was speaking in general. Sorry to have painted you with the same brush!

I love it - I use it quite often to check the time on my device or see a notification without unlocking the phone, and with 'rest finger to unlock' it's pretty much perfect.
