Hello all. I have a 2008 Penryn MBP and am currently using 2x1gb RAM. After realizing how cheap and easy it is to upgrade my RAM I decided that it would be a great investment as I used my notebook to game.

Now I'm no expert and was reading that I can use up to 6GB of ram in this system although it is not supported by Apple. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good website to use to buy RAM. Also if anyone wants to post some good deals / compatible ram? Either 2x2gb or 1x4gb and 1x2gb would work great. I'm open to anything. Thanks alot for your time!

Yes, you need 200-pin 67 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM modules, just as I linked to on Newegg.
