Hi,
I recently bought a new intel iMac 20" with extra RAM to make it to 2GB, and the Apple Store gave me back the 2 512MB chips. I am now wondering if I can put one of the 512MB chips into my MacBook to increase the RAM on there?
Thank you
Tom

Sorry I spelt Chips wrong in the title🙂

Yep you can.
I did this just yesterday with my 24inch iMac. Put my new RAM in, then put the RAM I took out into my Dad's macbook.
Works fine.

Give the Search function of the forum a try, it's a useful tool.

We had the same question two days ago, IIRC.
