My iMac comes with Hynix 8GB kit (4Gx2).

I want to upgrade with Corsair 16GB (8Gx2)

So My iMac will have 24G Ram. I wonder these rams are compatible with others? Are there any problems (Can they run at speed 1600MHz?, Start up problem?)?

Thanks for your answers.

I'd be concerned about using that memory.

Apple-supplied memory has a CAS latency of 11. This memory is also CL11, which is what you want. However, if the specs are to be believed, the SPD settings are CL9. This is fine if you use the memory on its own, or in a motherboard where you have manual control of the memory timings - neither of which applies to you.

If you install CL9 memory in an iMac at the same time as other memory, the iMac will normally try to determine the maximum speed at which all modules can run CL9. This will be 1333MHz for your Apple Hynix memory. So there's a very real possibility that installing this Corsair ram will make your 24GB run at 1333MHz.

Thank you.
if I still want to keep Hynix RAM, I have to find a memory which the SPD and test CL are 11, right?

Which kind of specific memory I can install with?
