Does anyone know if the Ram for the new Macbook pro that is scheduled to be released will run the same ram as the current MBP? Great price on a 1x2GB stick of Crucial right now so may jump on it to upgrade the next purchase.
    Thanks

    ram rumors

there has been talk that it will get bumped up 2 4 gigs but I think itl stay at 2 because many people realize that apple ram is overpriced and do not want to buy it from them. also including the price of the 4 gb of ram into the base price will drive up the total quite a bit.

Pretty sure it's still going to use PC2-5300 memory, and come with 2 gigs standard.

A 2 gig stick of crucial is $20 after rebate right now, just want to make sure it's going to be the same pc2 5300.
Anyone know if the new MBP will be 2x1GB or 1x2GB?

The new MBP's on Santa Rosa will definitely use the same PC2 5300 RAM. Apple will always populate BOTH slots in the MBP for dual channel.
