I have a base 13" 2010 MBP, with upgraded HD (640gb 5400rpm)

Typically when I am running Lion I have a bunch (probably 6-7) of running programs: dropbox, remote mouse, splashtop, air video etc. All of these are mainly for my idevice integration (ipad, iphone).

Also typically I have a bunch of virtual desktops for: 1. Internet 2. Torrents 3. Itunes 4. VLC

usually when running my computer as normal my ram usage (stock 4gb) shows up at about 70%. And I do notice some lag when switching between screens/apps.

Would I notice a boost in performance if I upgraded my ram? (I'm not planning on changing my HD to a SSD, because I need all the space)

I am asking because I'm not sure if adding more ram will do anything, since my ram isn't being run at 100% right now, but it's only 50$ so I might just do it.

Any advice? thanks

(also not sure where this topic goes, I'm a new user so put it here. mods please move appropriately, sorry lol)
