Ram Management?

Anybody know if Lion's Ram management is better than in SL?

Example: After using Photoshop for a while and then quit it my system is still lagging and feels sluggish despite having 8GB of Ram installed. Is Lion flushing the Ram usage better after Ram intensive tasks?

I just hate it to restart all the time after using Ram intensive apps.

A lot of the issue that you are talking about is not related to RAM but actually related to I/O performance. When using OS X on SSD instead of HDD it seems to not really experience this issue as much. More RAM of course also helps.

I have no doubt that Apple has improved performance in Lion, but don't expect any miracles.
