I plan on starting to do more video editing and advanced editing and want to update my ram I know I could buy two 4gb and get 8gb of ram but was wondering if it would be better and if it would work buying one 8gb stick and replacing one of the 2gb sicks currently in my macbook with that and get 10gb of ram. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_1333MHz_SDRAM

Which of the deals on here do you think would be best the 2x4gb, 1x8gb, 1x4gb and 1x8gb, or should i just hash out the money for a 2x8gb.

If you pick another vendor, you might as well go for the 16GB for little more than the 8GB that you've mentioned.
The Corsair 2x8GB Mac Memory should do the trick.
