Hey, Im sure this is answered a million other places on the forums, but I searched all over and can't find any consistant answers. I recently purchased a n iMac G5 20" (the latest rev before Intel aka the one with the iSight built in). Im wanting to add a gig of ram to it, or at least another 512 (I will be using final cut and pro tools, and could therefore use the boost. I was told its cheaper to buy it and install myself, but Im just wondering what kind I need to get. Everything I read has different answers. Thanks.

If you found some PC4200 Non ECC DDR2 SDRAM with 240 pins I reckon it'd work, assuming you install it correctly. 🙂

I'd suggest OWC. They have really good prices and a ram selector so that you're sure to get the right stuff. Their stuff is also protected for life.
