I was thinking about buying a single stick of 4gb RAM for my MBP but I was told a while back that it isn't good to mix memory sizes, so in my case a 2gb with 4gb. They would both be DDR3 1066, but can any one tell me if it is bad to mix the two different modules? 😕

Thanks in advance.

If you want you can mix. However there will be a very small increase in speed if you have matched pairs.

like stridemat said it is fine to mix them. what you might want to do is make sure they are the same brand. the only reason you would want to match them size wise is if you wanted to take advantage of dual channel.
