I was thinking about buying a single stick of 4gb RAM for my MBP but I was told a while back that it isn't good to mix memory sizes, so in my case a 2gb with 4gb. They would both be DDR3 1066, but can any one tell me if it is bad to mix the two different modules?

Thanks in advance.

If you want you can mix. However there will be a very small increase in speed if you have matched pairs.
