I'm shopping for RAM for my mac. I was wondering if anybody knew if i could have an odd number of RAM sticks in...Like the two 2GB stock sticks and another 4GB stick for a total of 3 ram slots filled. Can I do that or do i have to have the same ram sticks parallel with each other?

Thanks in advance

This works, although you'll lose a bit of performance over adding memory in pairs. Depending on what you run, you may not even notice the difference.

Ram prices are rather inexpensive right now, it might be worth going for a 2x4GB memory kit.
