hi, i went onto crucial and downloaded their software, this way i'd knew what kind of ram my mid 2010 iMac needed. the software gave me these results:

8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module

a friend is selling his 2 sticks (same as ^) except the description is differ, here's what it is:

8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-8500 memory module

the PC3-#'s are different... does this mean those sticks of RAM aren't compatible with my iMac? I just want to make sure before buying since his sticks are new, once i open them, I'm stuck with them.
thanks.
