Hey guys, I have a rMBP 13" 2013 model with 8GB RAM, what I see is the system uses swap even when I have 3 or more GB RAM free, I am attaching a screenshot, is it normal ?

Though the laptop is super snappy, no slowdowns or anything.

Completely normal. On UNIX based systems like Mac OS X, free ram is wasted ram.

Thanks for the reply, as you can see the system is using 'swap', it says 64mb, despite more than 3GB ram being free,is it also normal to use swap despite free ram ?

Still completely normal. Best to let the system do as it was designed as to worry about more pushing matters.
