I was on my MacBook a late 2008 2ghz when it told me to restart. I did then it started beeping 3 beeps at a time! So I done the usaul had a quick look on the Internet and found out it was likely to be the ram. So I changed them around that never worked! I tried one in the bottom slot still no good. Done the same in the top slot and it work! Done the same with to other ram top and bottom slots and it only worked in the top one as well.
I was just wondering if it will work ok using just one slot! Is it worth trying to fix it or upgrade the ram because the rest of it works fine!
    Thanks

That bay seems to be no longer working. There's no way of fixing it other than getting the logic board replaced, which won't be cheap. It's possible the other bay could go as well, since this one has already died. You can consider spending money on a new dimm that has a greater capacity to put in the one working slot.
