You can buy ram seperately for MUCH cheaper than on the apple store. Youtube has plenty of tutorials. Its very easy to do.

tumej im in finland, i got a 2011 imac 4 gb and ordered 16 from OWC (macsales.com)
16gb from Apple would cost you 600+ Euros, while online you can get it for less than 150(way less)

Moi!

Itse asentaminen on tosi helppoa. Katso tämä video:

Muisti ei auta sinua avaamaan yhtä tiedostoa nopeasti, mutta auttaa
prosessoimaan isoa tiedostoa nopeammin (Photoshop, video ohjelmat, 3D, ääni)

Ram type :

iMac (Mid 2011)
PC3-10600 - Unbuffered - 204-pin - 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM

As others have pointed out, upgrading the RAM is so easy. Please don't buy it directly from Apple, just go ahead and get it from OWC or Crucial (who i've used in the past).

if not OWC (america, with import tax risk - i had no issues) then try amazon.de OR .co.uk for other brands
