OK so Ive been wondering if upgrading my MBP CD from 1.5GBs of ram to the full 2GB would really be worth it. Anyone know about how much better the performance would be in leopard?

FYI, CD MBP's are capable of reading a full 3GB of RAM, if you're so inclined.

Really? I thought only the first generation C2D could read 3GB and then after that it was 4GB.

But anyway I mainly use it for programming with Xcode while listening to iTunes. I also use it for photo editing with aperture, iMovie, and movie conversions from avi to MP4. And a little bit of gaming.

My page in/out ratio is 1.05 GB/1.07 GB

wrong

cd can address 2 gigs max

c2d non sr can address 3.3 max

c2d sr can sddress 4 and above

but yes get more ram for sure. a 1:1 ratio is not good. i advise a 10:1 ratio before needing more ram
