I just bought a 1GB stick for my mini. it's rated at 2.6 volts. Apples specs say 2.5 volts. Is this a big deal?

You really don't have to ask this twice, you know.

Jim

P.S.: probably not a big one. Does it work when you put it in?

Thanks for the response, Jim.

Sorry about asking twice. I've noticed it takes some time to get responses to questions here, and I obviously didn't want to keep a non-spec stick of RAM in my computer for too long if it was going to cause some damage. I didn't know which forum would get a result faster.

As for the stick, yes it works. I ran F@H for a while, and everything seemed to be fine. After running overnight, and using it for some stuff, i have around 85,000 page ins and 1,700 page outs. i'm not sure if that's normal, or what.

Thanks for any help.

EDIT: I've been researching Page ins/Page outs, so I have a decent understanding of what they are now. From what I understand, I shouldn't really be concerned about the Page ins, since that is normal. But I should have few, if any, page outs, since I should have enough RAM (1GB).

I'm not sure if 1700 page outs is ok. I has not increased in the past hour or so. This computer has two accounts on it, both active. Mine has a bunch of widgets running, and safari. My girlfriend's has safari, and a decent sized Garage Band project open. This, of course, could be the reason for the page outs. I just want to make sure it's not because of the CAS or voltage of the RAM being out of spec (even if it's not by much)
