ram ?

    I wil be getting the new 15" 2.5ghz mac book pro and wish to upgrade the ram to 4gb i have been looking at the crucial site and they list the 15.4" 2.5 ghz does this use the same ram as the new mac book pro

    yes, however; the macbook pro has a memory limitation of 3gb..

    Apple states that the limit is 4gb for the latest machines

    the macbook pro will accept up to 4gb of memory, but will only use 3gb, due to limitations of the core 2 duo chips themselves.. EDIT: im incorrect, as per my research, I found out that the new macbook pro's now will fully recognize and utilize a full 4gb of ram now.. i'd try OWC for RAM upgrades, they've always been very good quality for all my machines..
