I'm not sure if the problem is on my end or if it truly is a problem, but it is a change from 3 or 4 days ago (and the past few years). The last few days when I open macrumors before the page loads I get a flicker of a page full of random characters. I've tried to capture an image, but it is for such a small fraction of time I haven't been able to. It probably isn't a problem, but since it is a change in what I'm used to, I thought I might as well let you know.

I'm using an i5 Macbook Pro with 10.6.6, Safari 5.0.3. I also noticed it in Chrome. I haven't noticed similar anomalous behavior on other sites.

I saw it too, once. I guess I wasn't imagining things. It looked like the type of page you see when a web server delivers the wrong MIME type with a media file.
