Hi all my partners iphone 6 plus has started to make random chime sounds on its own. Anyone no what causes this or how to turn it off I can't find it in any of the settings.. thanks guys

Perhaps some app is sending an alert or notification of some sort?

What appears under notifications? I had this with either iOS 8 or 9 but there was nothing at all! Lol

Chimes? Not tones or sounds?

Would it be an app maybe?

I have an app called Westminister Chimes and it chimes every 15 minutes and 'bongs' on the hour for the time.

If someone were looking to shut that off on my phone they'd never find it anywhere in the Settings app.

That's what I was thinking. Some third party applications have these hidden alert features set by default.
