Hi ,

My macbook pro retina(15.4 inch, early 2013) display was broken and got it replaced at apple store with new display. But I am seeing new issue now. I see a lot of coloured dots jumping around the screen (hundreds of them) . This is happening sometimes and not frequently ......and sometimes screen is flickering ... any one got any clue about this... I see similar issue in the below thread.

The new specs of the macbook retina display are
ioreg -lw0 | grep "EDID" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

Please help me, whether this is display issue or some kind of loose connection.

Could be a GPU issue. Take a screenshot, view said screenshot on another device and see if the dots appear. If they do, it's the GPU. There is a worldwide program where specific graphics faults, in your model as well as others that are covered even if out of warranty.

@bizzle

Nice idea, will do that next time when i see the dots.

And can you please explain in brief what is the worldwide program you are talking about?
