I had the same problem, and the same solution worked for me (inserted paper to depress cable in the battery compartment)!

is this the problem you've had?

I've had many problems in the last couple of weeks with my macbook pro 2,4ghz with 2gb ram (i've upgraded today to 4gb of RAM), 256mb of memory card, HD 200gb 7200rpm.

If I use programs like Adobe Lightroom 2.0, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Firefox, Paralells, Windows XP, the mac crashes.

Some strange lines and stripes appear in the screen, it freezes, and I can only force it to reboot.

you can see the kind of screen that appears in these links (the images were taken with a nokia N70, so the quality ain't that good!):

This was captured this afternoon...!

The computer went to an official apple repair store, I've paid 96€ because they claimed this was a software problem and they had to reinstall everything, wich was not included in the warranty.

In November 17, I went to the official apple repair store to have my macbook pro back working properly.

I've instaled Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom 2.0 in the same day, and the computer worked just fine!

I turned it off yesterday, restarted it today, and that miserable issue came back!

Has anyone ever seen those type of screen and now out to solve it?

The computer was bought on January 29 2008 and is still on warranty.

I really need help, 'cause it's the only way I have to work!
