Could be a glitch. Try a hard reset by holding down the power button and Digital Crown.

I keep getting this random sound as well. Tried a hard reset and it’s still occurring.

I never used the side button to activate the screen (at least not many times) and usually press the Digital Crown or tap the screen. However I was curious and tried. However I can get it too by having screen off and pressing and holding for a couple of seconds the side button. On my S0/Alu it will make the vibration and on my S0/SG and it will vibrate and make the :apple:Pay 'success' sound (I think this is the sound it is making).

Strange bug.

I had a glitch like this too, when I used to rise to wake sometimes it would vibrate it was really weird, it stopped now though.

The random sound/vibration is Apple Pay turning off. If you double tap the bottom button, and leave it there for 30 seconds, it will make the vibration and sound. Its essentially quitting Apple Pay. This happens to me on a weekly basis, I accidentally enable Apple Pay and then the sound/vibration alerts me that Apple Pay is "closing".

yes it is the same sound but I assure you I am not double tapping it and having it time out, it happens when I just press it once to wake it up.

Maybe a stuck button is causing it? Where it thinks it a double tap? I have that issue with Siri and the crown. When I double tap, but it thinks its a long hold.

but a double tap brings up your cc with no sound or feedback, only after a min. or so does it cancel out and do the sound/feedback
