How does the randomize MAC address function work, when you assign a static IP address on a wireless router, based off of the MAC address of the iDevice?

I think it's a great feature when you are out in a public hot spot. But for home use, I like to assign specific IP addresses to each device so I don't run into DHCP conflicts.

Yeh would like to know also. I have set MAC filterining on home network, would like to know if it will conflict with randomised MAC

From my understanding it's only randomized when searching for wireless networks. It uses the same MAC every time when actually connecting.

So just add the MAC and connect like normal in your situation. No change.
