I posted the thing about steroid abuse myself. Your sarcasm was unnecessary. That's just the kind of lives these guys live, where pain and substance abuse is a fact and the "game" is more important than their very lives (7 days in cars, hustling from arena to arena just for the cheers of the crowd).

It's somewhat of a sad existence.

There was no reason for your sarcasm. It was purely disrespectful.

My comment of irony had to do with you criticizing me for being disrespectful. See, it's ironic in that you are likely one of the most disrespectful posters on MR. kthxbai.

I never disrespected the dead. kthxbai ( <-- what is this ? Are we like 12 ?).

Disrespect has no place in threads about people being dead. Context, it's highly important.

How righteous of you.

I guess it's only cool to disrespect the living.
I guess he better get it out of his system before 6 pm.

It might not have even been wrestling that killed him. All of those Slim Jims clogged his heart.

rdowns is correct in that steroid *abuse* is dangerous. Abusing anything is dangerous. My father in law dropped dead at 56 from not taking care of himself - eating junk/sugar, not exercising, etc.

This is the lifestyle that wrestlers choose to live, and it's risky - excessive testosterone administation will cause polycythemia - which in turn raises blood pressure, which in turn stresses the heart. I know a guy in my gym who has a bp reading of 180/120 - he's an idiot and he chooses not to take anti-hypertensive medications.

On the other hand there are a lot of bodybuilders/wrestlers who are still living in their 60s/70s and healthy. It's all about balance. If you're going to inject a cc of test every 3 days, then at least take your beta blockers!
