He went through a lot of effort to get that apart with a hammer! LOL

Too bad he took his rage out on the "Hard Drive" while he was actually beating on the Superdrive!

I think people need more creative ways of destroying hardware. Like soaking it in high proof vodka and setting it ablaze. Or maybe dunking it in a pool, drying it and check if it turns on. If it does, repeat process. That'd be fun to watch.

Or put it on a stove,

or try to freeze it,

etc...

Anyone else have any creative ways?

It would have been much harder for him to do that with a 12". Built like a tank.
I think that the PowerBook 12 inch will go down in history as one of Apple's best laptop Macs.

A few years ago I got my Dad one. About a month ago, I asked him if it was still working okay. He said that it's working just fine. I mentioned that I was thinking of getting him a new MBP13 ... he sounded hurt.

Anyhow, I did make him promise that I get it when he upgrades if that ever happens. :)

The last time I visited Akihabara, I saw a store that had a bunch of them for sale. Expensive! They have sure held their value over time.

Now with the MBP13, I don't think that we'll ever see something like the PB12. :(

100% agree! I bought a 13" MBP yesterday and mehh. It's okay. I'm going to have to retire my 867MHz 12" and I'm really sad. I lent it to someone and somehow they fried the logic board. The thing had been dropped down stairs, sat on, left in the rain for 1/2 a day, and never gave me any problems. Very sad day for me. I think I'll have a mock funeral with all my other Mac-toys gathered round as he's thrown in the trash.:(

All I can say is, "Bummer!"

This was great!

side note: Ice-T's spoken word warning intro on his "Home Invasion" album is the stuff of classics.

Ice-T and his MBP - Ouch!

It hurts just to watch this haha

I look over at my new 13" MBP and hope it doesn't suffer the same fait :apple:

I would love to do that to my old MBP. That thing is such a piece.

The man, can't act, but he can rap, and he can surely beat the ever loving hell out of a mac. To bad the "hard drive" he removed as an optical drive. Ha.

That was maybe, the most entertaining video I have ever seen. I wonder if he was actually "smart" enough to walk into the store and ask if he can get it fixed:confused::D:D:D

He should walk into a store now and say he powered it on and it exploded just to see the faces of the Geniuses. Then ask them if they can fix it.:D
