I have some VERY BIG 200MB RAR File Archives and I can't seem to open them. I have UnrarX and Stuffit Expander on my Mac. Stuffit stalls out and UnrarX tells me: "Unexpected end of archive"

What does this mean? Are the RAR files damaged? If so can I repair them somehow.

P.S. I also have Windows XP on Parallels Desktop. Would XP solve this problem better?

Using Windows XP to unrar folder

I have never heard of this happening before; but, you could use a program called winrar which will run under windows xp.
You can get this program at:
http://rarlabs.com/rar/wrar380.exe

This is a trial version for 40 days, but it will be fine for now.
Try to unrar your files using this program. It is one of the best programs for RAR folders in windows.
You could also try buying Stuffit Deluxe 2009 it may allow for larger files.

Cheers,
Justin

If you are on a FAT32 partition, they could be too big.

But 200mb files are nothing, the error you are describing makes me think the RAR files are damaged.

Perhaps someone poisoning your torrent?
