Personally, I use Entropy... but the best free app for decompressing .RAR archives is The Unarchiver.

Or you could use unrarx and replace the older unrar (executable) 3.60 by the new official 4.20 from rarlab. Works perfectly.

Hi,

I too searched a lot for a RAR program when I switched to a MAC, after testing many apps I decided to stick with BetterZip.
It cost $19.99 but You can also get it from aB@yFull0fPir@te5 😀
But I personally think it is worth the cost 🙂
