iPod Ratings NOT synced when iPod is managed manually?

I love using ratings, in fact most of my playlist are dependent upon them. So now that my library is in excess of 70GB I must manage my iPod manually. I noticed today that changes I made to my ratings on my iPod where not making there way back to my iTunes library. Could this be? Can I do something different so that it will work properly? Certainly this can be fixed, if not it is a really lame problem.

What good is ratings if they can't be synced?

I have the same problem in that my library far outweighs my iPod so I set it to automatically sync certain playlists (smart or otherwise).

However, for syncing data between a manually managed iPod and your iTunes library, try Synch iPod-iTunes Data. 🙂
