They will some day. Till then I find it a little funny.
You're too optimistic. A new iPhone has been released every summer since 2007. Yet, every single day someone makes a new thread asking if another iPhone will be released in December or January.

With trim on, the performance dromsfrom 40.9 ->38.8 which is negligable.
Wow - when you hit reply, you had a choice. Either respond with arrogance or be helpful, I now see which way you decided to go. May you have a happy life.
Great post. Question - what options do we have on OS X with an x25 latest firmware with TRIM support? Is there any way to somewhat safely regain dirty performance?
10x performance is very compelling to buy the x25.
Don't forget to check the benchmarks very carefully to see how they make a drive "used." Some people never get to that point.

I agree. But in this case I think the poster is talking about raw performance of the samsung drive vs an intel drive, which is undisputed.
The harm is that there is a difference between an empty cell and a cell with "0" written to it. "0" is just like "1." It's the same as filling your entire hard drive with data.
Agreed. Right now, the larger argument seems to be between Intel and Sandforce controller. There's a large gap after that.
