Like for example Virginia (Wind In The Night), by the head and the heart, or the track "On The Steps of the Palace" from the original broadway cast album of Into The Woods. It happens on Carplay and Airpods with Atmos off, on IOS and Mac OS. It doesnt happen on third party audio hardware with Apple music support (like Sonos speakers and soundbars), the apple tv, or the homepods.

Thank you to the user dvett317 for pointing at the issue in reddit.

Still not fixed on Mac OS 12.4 and IOS 15.5

Anyone else having this issue?

I just played Virginia on my iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 15.5 and it was fine.

I used the phone speaker and also AirPods Pro. Good sound with both. That’s a weird problem you’re having. I wish I could help but at least you have my data point.

I was just listening to my apple music playlist yesterday and I think I noticed what you mean.....

B/D, I listened to the same song in my car over a USB connection (not CarPlay) and I think I noticed it too. It sounds like a flutter. I didn’t hear that with my AirPods. Very weird.

Disabling lossless fixed it for me. Weird... (if disabled, try re-enabling and disabling it again).

I never had lossless turned on. Both AirPods and iPhone speaker sound great. Only my car sounds bad. I have another car with USB audio and CarPlay. I’ll try it there later today.

In my other car I hear the flutter too. I have Jon idea why. Maybe it has to do with the low frequencies, or the sound system, or it’s a compression artifcact peculiar to this piece of music.

No, I have it on my Mac music app as well. I think its a bug. On earlier software versions the files are clean.
