So when I take RAW pics with my drone, they have a flat looking profile to them. I took some RAW pics with my iPhone today and they look exactly like the regular pics. In fact, they look identical. Will the RAW image still be better in post?
 
I know what RAW pics are. I’m asking why are iPhone RAW pics looking identical to non-RAW pics. RAW photos should have a flat/matte look to them so when I put into Lightroom I grade and show more information.
apple does computational photography to make the RAW pics look better

Apple includes all of the computational stuff into RAW as well. It is still RAW.
 
At least just playing with RAW pics with iPhone editor, you can edit with more latitude with RAW pics tHan with regular pics.
 
I thought an iPhone saved both, a RAW file, and a JPEG type, and then you had to retrieve the RAW file to make changes to it only?
