My only recommendation is to stop using synapse, instead use the legacy drivers for your mouse. I always had issues with synapse, not only crashing the app itself, but the whole computer (I was quite disappointed once I bought my Naga Epic for my 15inch Macbook Pro), although it does have a nice interface, and nice features, it was generally slow, specially because for some reason my mouse would only accept my settings once synapse opened (and on a 5400 rpm drive, that takes a while), so I was stuck with the default DPI settings for when my machine booted. Needless to say, once I switched to the legacy drivers, my problems were gone. The legacy drivers are much more simplistic than the synapse drivers, and don´t as far as I know support multiple device in the same interface (so you need different drivers for different periferals), but generally they allow you to do the same things as the synapse drivers.

I am not sure if your specific Mamba is supported by these drivers, because I dont find them for the 2012 edition specifically, but it SHOULD support it.

If you have some other Razer mice, I suggest you look for their respective legacy drivers and stop using the ever-annoying Razer Synapse software.

Hope this helps :)

The problem continues. The solution was to uninstall the software. I contacted the razer and I'm waiting for answers. Thanks for the help!

Not just me then

I have this exact same issue. Thank god I'm not the only one.
I'm running Mac OSX 10.9 on a late 2013 mbp. Razer device is a Deathadder 2013.

I found the only way to get around this is to start up the machine without the mouse plugged in and after startup is completely complete plug it in and it will work fine. Though you will have to manually change profiles a few times to get them to apply. Flipping frustrating.

I opened a support ticket with Razer who gave me a few stock standard troubleshooting replies and when that didn't work just ignored me. But not before they told me to go and find some help to restore my entire OS to solve the problem. My macbook was brand new and they never asked a single thing about my setup so that seem a little extreme an option. Really disappointed with their service.

Did you ever create a support ticket / resolve this issue? If not perhaps you could open one and link this thread so they can have it confirmed it's not a problem isolated to one machine.

I have been having this problem. I'm using a naga and nostromo. Synapse will completely crash the macbook. I have uninstalled synapse and reinstalled the old drivers and now no crashes for over a month. I noticed that razer had updated synapse recently so I decided to try it again, but after installing it crashed twice within the first ten minutes. So back to the old drivers. I'm thinking of switching to a different brand of mouse.

yeah and sorry forgot to specify that I have the 2012 version and the legacy drivers only go up to 10.7 for mac where as i have 10.9.3 (go up to 10.9 for older mamba). Ill give them a try in a bit and hope that even though they are dated that they work.
Thanks for the quick reply

Update on my razer mamba 2012 ~ please help

Well I tried to use the legacy drivers, however they did not recognize my mamba (probably due to them only supporting up to 10.7) and I am force to reinstall synapse 2.0. This of course means it continues to constantly crash. I contacted razer the other week however while they said they would pass me on up the system I never was contacted again. So I contacted them again today and hopefully this person will do their job and help me out
