Razer Ornata Chroma

I don't have the ornata, but I have a razer naga and synpase so far has been working flawlessly with keybindings/macros/application link and switching.

The Synapse software will randomly screw up settings, not launch the correct app, and constantly force you to sign in at least every couple of months or so.
I use an Orbweaver Chroma now.
The Belkin N52te (Nostromo) preference pane that I painstakingly programmed for WoW back in 2008 still works perfectly. Never ever had a glitch.

I bought a Razer mouse, do not recall which one which had the Synaps softare, it just would not work at all and the Synaps software was a total pain to remove from my machine.
Never purchased another Razer mouse since other than the original Deathadder which is a terrific mouse.
I use a Logitech G502 now and it works flawlessly.

You have to sign in because Razer wants you to store all your device configurations in the cloud so if you go to a friend's house and play on their computer with your device, all you have to do is sign in and download all your key maps. Would be better if it were stored on the device like the N52te.
So, I emailed Razer and asked them: "... it is fully functional for Mac? How about the software? Will I be able to customise the lighting effects?"
Their reply: "The Razer Ornata is fully functional with MAC and thanks to the Synapse Software you can fully customize it to your favor."
Going off this and what others have said here, I went and bought it. After fiddling around with the software for a while, I decide to "customize it to [my] favor". Only I can't. Chroma Configurator doesn't work with the Ornata Chroma.

Not surprised, have fun trying to remove the Synaps software if you go down that road.
I complained to them and they've given me $30 to spend on their online store. It was either that or send the thing back for a full refund.
You should point them to this thread - may light a fire under management to know that this is their much deserved reputation in the Mac ecosystem.
