I've always used Logitech keyboards and mice, strongly preferring them over Apple's offerings. I have been using the Logitech GS 413 SE Full Size and TKL with my Macs. I happened to be browsing at Microcenter and picked up the Razer Blackwidow v4 Low Profile with orange switches. I connected it to my Windows machine but I ended up getting this Winring0 notice in Windows Defender. I had to reset my PC and connect the keyboard back in without installing any of Razer's software that manages the RGB lighting. I did not enjoy this!

I wanted to know of people here use the Blackwidow or similar ones like the Huntsman with their Mac and if you've ever encountered issues like the above but for macOS? Did you install the Razer's Synapse software? I really do enjoy the low profile keys as I find it much easier to type on but I value security above comfort so if the drivers or software pose a security risk, I'd rather go back to using my Logitech, which never caused me any issues.

Edit: I tried to understand how dangerous this driver is for Windows by watching a few videos like this one from Gamers Nexus but I don't have the technical expertise to know how big of an issue it really is in practice, especially on a Mac.
