Oh, prepositions! one of my weak points (on? in?) English!

Thanks for the reminder.

Technically, it's "pee into" the bottle, but American English continues to morph to a lazier state by omitting words.

Since pee can be an energy source, you might be onto something for this chair...

I will be so glad when this AI bubble poos. Every comment building their own LLM is a fad.

I'll wait until they show up on aliexpress. I think Razer makes good stuff, but their current flagship chair is $600... so I'm guessing this baby will be $799. China will make an identical chair out of chinesium and it will cost $99 shipped. I've had my Herman miller chair for 20 years this year, and I paid $600 for it. There's never been a gaming chair that has lasted longer than two years.

Life certainly does imitate Wall-E. How tremendously sad that products like this and 'exports' are treated like they are newsworthy. I wonder if casinos will adopt this technology for the slot machines. Or offices for their more dehumanizing desk jobs...

Now we are expected to plug in our chairs too?
That’s actually a very good question. Good rhetorical question, but also a good literal question. As it: It’s plug-in, right? Or is it battery-powered. I just read the press release again and I don’t see any information about that.

I don’t see a power cord in the image renders. That’s not super unusual. For some reason lots of products have the power cord removed/edited out from promotional images. It almost certainly has to be plug-in. But if it, having a power cord attached to your wheeled-chair is bound to get annoying.

Oh. In one of the still-image renders, I think I see what might be a part of a power cord. Maybe. Not sure. It’s not super obvious if it is.

Not sure whether it will ever be available for purchase and even so not expecting it to be cheap. Also not sure how many will be buying these.

Having a comfortable office chair wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Take it from someone that has tape all over my office chair armrest to keep the cushion from falling off, lol. (And I’m not the only one with tape on the armrest in my office, lol.)

If I walked into work tomorrow and all the old, awful office chairs were replaced with this chair, that would make me legitimately happy. šŸ˜‚

But, then again, I would be legitimately happy if they just replaced the armrest. lol

Based on my experience with Razer products I’d be really afraid that it will shoot me up to the moon or burn my ass
I would love to go to the moon. Sure, it would be the last thing I ever did if my chair got shot me to there, but I doubt I’ll ever afford to ride there on Bezos’ rocket (that… doesn’t sound right).

Hard to imagine needing a heated chair with your new 5090 blasting in to the room
This is exactly what I was thinking. If my office/man cave is cold, it sure doesn’t stay that way for long once I start playing šŸ˜†

Honestly, for the opposite problem, any mesh (vs. anything padded) chair should keep you cool enough without extra hardware.

Oh a Razer chair? No thanks. I'd rather spend that money on a downpayment for a car.

Will they lock the heating behind a subscription? If not, we can mod them to hot-swap (pun intended) with bmw seats!
Not a subscription issue, but it reminds me of why I stopped using Razer for anything.

I think around 10-12 years ago, I had a Razer mouse, don’t recall which one, but the mouse itself was decent enough. I did a software update and their utility insisted I log in for some cloud-based service to save my mouse settings. There was no obvious workaround. At the time, it seemed every company want to push ā€œthe cloudā€ into every product for ā€œreasonsā€. I had to uninstall and reinstall the older version (luckily I still had it).

I used it a while longer, but I was mentally done that day I realized some numbskull Razer marketing type thought I might want my mouse settings in the cloud. For all I know, they addressed the requirement to log in since then. Didn’t matter. Haven’t felt the need to look beyond Logitech for my mouse needs since.

For winter, I think it is better and cheaper to adopt a cat. They provide heat, and they are also good for anxiety. And they can also give you love.
Not sure love is a thing for cats. They might simulate it every now and again, but in the end they just want you to feed them.
