Hello all,
I was installing a program on my Mac OS Catalina 10.15 and the battery was running low. Then the laptop shut off and now it is not letting the macbook charger charge it up. Nor does pressing the power button do anything to the mac. Does this mean it is a battery issue?

How long did you try charging the battery? Have you tried a different charger or cable?

I tried charging it for two days and the light does not come on. Then I bought a different charger thinking it was the issue and same thing. Mac seems to think its the battery?

Can you take it to an Apple store or an authorized repair shop to have it diagnosed?

We have same issue and I also think it’s battery But haven’t changed it yet.. let us know how you get on

Hey all,
I solved the issue. You need to raise the little lever that connects to the screen on the inside of the mac then lower it again. Afterwards you can turn the mac on. Youtube "2012 macbook pro wont turn on" video.
