Hey guys!
So, in a nutshell; when my iPhone XS Max was jailbroken, I of course had Cydia and installed iCleaner Pro, which I have nothing against for the record, except I disabled the software update launch daemon so that when you would go to settings-general- and then try to click on software update, it would freeze, preventing any automatic software updates that would’ve un-jailbroken me at the time. Fast-forward to now, not jail-broken, on iOS 14.3, but before I gave up the jailbreak I forgot to re-enable the software update launch daemon through iCleaner Pro, and I need to fix that because it’s causing serious issues with my phone and my MBP. Please, someone advise me how to Re-Enable this without having to re-jailbreak my phone (which I don’t believe can even be done yet on the latest firmware version). Any/All suggestions are highly appreciated! Thanks again guys!

Do you have a computer to do a backup and restore of the iPhone? You could first backup to the computer, then do a restore of iOS, then restore from your backup to see if the issue gets fixed. This type of restore would bring back a lot of jailbreak-related "stuff" in the file system…so whether or not the software update gets fixed is the question.

It's possible that the solution is going to have to be an iOS restore and NOT restoring from a backup. This would mean getting all the pertinent data (photos, files) backed up and starting fresh.

I've reset my network settings, I've erased my whole phone; if there was an app like iCleaner Pro that I can use while I'm not jailbroken, I could use that to re-enable the software update launch daemon, cuz that's how I disabled it to begin with. for some reason, I can't find any program that can access launch daemons, unless I just don't know what to look for in the Mac App Store. I've tried sideloading the .ipa for iCleaner Pro, but my iPhone is on 14.3 and even when its signed, won't recognize the app. I've been trying to mess with AltDeploy, but I haven't had much luck getting it working right. (I'd also like to use it to enable Cercube on my MBP, instead of just on my iPhone). That I already have side loaded on my phone, but I don't know how to bring a side loaded app from my iPhone to my MBP, again, without using AltDeploy.

--- SOLUTION ---
(via this Reddit post - worked for me on iOS 15.0 with an iPhone 13 Pro and iMazing v. 2.14.4)

Hi there!

I was facing the exact same problem as you're describing since about 5 years.. until today.
Had a jailbreak on my iPhone 5, then switched to a 7, X, 11 Pro and 13 Pro since yesterday. Updated over iTunes in all the years ;_; - tried so many things.

Did the exact steps as in this reddit post.

Unfortunately, I needed to buy a license for the program iMazing to restore the edited backup.
You can download iMazing and follow the steps to step 5 where you'd need to purchase a license too (or wait for a crack of the newest version which supports iOS 15.. I couldn't find one since the update is just since some days ago)

The restoring took about one hour for me with about 90GB of data in the backup.
I just deleted the file "disabled.plist" in /DatabaseDomain/com.apple.xpc.launchd/ and another file (just to make sure) named "disabled.migrated".

I'm really hoping that other people facing this same issue can finally resolve it too.
Another way would be waiting for a jailbreak, jb the iPhone, install the Tweak iCleaner (or whatever) and enable the OTA-Daemons again (or delete the above mentioned file manually on the device).

Hope this helps!
