simsaladimbamba Guest Jun 20, 2011 #2 You can do what you want with an Intel Mac, but a PPC Mac can't be booted with a USB device (with exceptions), thus you need a Firewire drive to make bootable copy (via CarbonCopyCloner perhaps) of your Leopard DVD onto Firewire HDD.
