Re installed Office for Mac 2008

    Word was corrupt so I removed the application and reinstalled it. Now all my office docs are plain white icons.

    I have right clicked on a word doc and chose "Get info", Gone to "Open with" chose Word and clicked on "use this application to open all documents like this".

    The docs all open in word but the icons are just like I said a plain white icon.

    How do I make them word icons again please?

    Try logging out and log back in. This should cause the OS service that provides the icons to re-cache them.
